3 Types of Online Courses:
Online Courses: $580 (plus $60 registration fee)
These are our traditional year-long courses. As a general rule, the tutors meet twice a week with a small group of students. They present engaging lectures with lots of discussion, grade assignments and tests. Send out report cards, etc.
Summer Courses: $180 (plus $15 registration)
These are just short classes for those who want to focus on a single topic. They are often in the summer, and often geared for parents! The tutor meets online with a small group. They host discussions, and sometimes grade assignments and have a test or two.
New! Seminar Courses: $145/Semester (plus $15 registration)
These are our new affordable option: a combination of pre-recorded resources, course materials, plus live discussion sessions. The live online sessions are led by one of our tutors who has studied the materials and loves this subject. He or she will lead discussions designed to encourage the development of the students' mind and heart. There will also be opportunities for the students to make their own presentations. The grading of assignments is done by the parent, but many of these seminar courses will include regular (automatically graded) quizzes over the material.
Prerequisite for Enrollment: Ability to participate with microphone
Your student must have access to a device with microphone and, most of the time, a webcam. Some courses utilize discussion more than others, but in all classes it is important for us to communicate with each other in a natural and fluent manner. In our history and literature courses the main purpose of live sessions is to allow us time to discuss what the students are studying. In order to be sure that we can have great participation from the group, we will hold online orientation sessions throughout the Spring and Summer. These will be offered at various times of the week, so that every student may try out their microphones and webcams. This way we will be assured that your student can get the most out of our online courses.
